1) Organisation: The Gitanjali Tour De Delhi - India Cyclothon is organized jointly by ID Sports and Network18, under the regulation of the International Cycling Union (UCI) and the Cycling Federation of India (CFI).
The event is an Asia Tour 1.2 category event as defined by the UCI. The event will be held over one day, August 29th 2010.
2) Participation: As per article 2.1.005 of the UCI regulation, the event is open to UCI Professional Continental Teams, UCI Continental Teams, National Teams, Regional and Club Teams.
3) Race Headquarters: Before, during and after the event the Race Headquarters shall be located at the Hotel Le Meridien, Delhi.

Team Representatives are required to confirm their starters and collect their race numbers at the race headquarters from 1300hrs – 1600 hrs on Saturday 28th August 2010.
The team managers meeting, organized in accordance with UCI regulations, in the presence of Members of the Commissaires Panel, is scheduled for 1700hrs at the Race HQ Hotel.
4) Commissaire Panel: The Commissaire Panel acts on behalf of the UCI and is responsible for the staging of the event in accordance with the regulations that govern the sport.

5) Neutral Technical Support: The technical support will be provided and handled locally.
The neutral support is taken care of by means of 2 service cars, 1 service moto and 2 pit areas located on the course.
6) Course: The Gitanjali Tour De Delhi – India Cyclothon 2010 will consist of 10 laps of racing. Total circuit distance is 13.7 km. A ceremonial neutral lap will proceed race start proper. Total neutral distance is 13.7 km.
A Sprints Competition based on points shall also apply. Each sprint lap will be identified by a bell the lap prior.
In the event of two or more competitors being equal on points, the Commissaire Panel will determine the result using the official UCI rules and regulations.
7) Sign on and Registration: Team registration will be held in the HQ Hotel between the hours of 1300 – 1600 on August 28th. All Team Managers must register.
On race day a sign-on board will be positioned at the radio announcers unit at the village area prior to the start. Sign on time is 08.30hrs-09.15hrs
8) Classifications – Awards Ceremony Procedure: Required at the Presentation Podium immediately after the finish are:

9) Anti Doping: All riders shall submit to any anti-doping control which will be conducted in accordance with UCI anti-doping regulations.
10) Penalties: The UCI scale of penalties will apply.
11) General: In accordance with UCI regulations, penalties are also provided for any rider or person who infringes the general principles of the race, these regulations and internal disciplinary rules. Moreover, the race management has the right to dismiss persons from the race for improper behavior or acts of vandalism.
